    K·Coe Isom, a Top 100 public accounting and consulting firm, is looking to add an experienced IT professional to join the team, working from our Sacramento, CA office.


    What you’ll be doing:


    As Tier 2 Technical Support, your primary focus will be handling escalated issues from Tier 1 support with occasional front-line support duties. Support will be handled via phone, video conference, and in-person. This position will be working independently as part of a supportive remote IT team. We provide our internal clients with top notch customer service which will require occasional evening and weekend work, with minimal overnight travel.


    You will analyze and troubleshoot issues, looking for the root causes and trends and not just treating the symptoms. Critical thinking and diagnostic skills are a must. Tier 2 uses logic, knowledge, and research to solve complex software, system, and network problems. This includes troubleshooting switches, networks, servers, and industry-specific software. You will exercise sound judgement when to involve Tier 3 support.


    Secondary duties will be maintaining a knowledge base that is comprehensive and easily understood.

    What you need to be successful:

    • 3-5 years minimum experience supporting Enterprise-level technology and technical solutions with complex business requirements
    • Experience responding to inquiries regarding different technology tools, including hardware, software, Microsoft Office suite, installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance
    • An enjoyment of working with people and technology, and a desire to have fun
    • Demonstrated ability to build and manage professional relationships
    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate in a manner that is compatible with the individual you are working with
    • Strong troubleshooting skills, identifying trends and root issues
    • Ability to diagnose recurring issues and provide proactive solutions and recommendations to improve performance and staff satisfaction
    • Cognitive abilities, interpersonal skills, self-management and organization skills
    • Detail oriented, able to document all details on inquiries, complaints, comments and actions taken in a timely manner
    • A belief that flexibility is key, and continuous learning and improvement is vital to success
    • Able to operate independently, with minimal supervision
    • Willingness to work some evenings and weekends, when they may be required based on project timelines
    • Ability to travel infrequently for activities such as office site visits, training or outreach activities, up to 15% of the time
